Make Time for Music

On Thursday morning children in years 1-4 took part in a special music
assembly.
Peripatetic Teachers Miss Haque and Mrs Jones from Make Time for Music
brought a range of instruments into school to demonstrate how our the
instruments of our new class names look and sound.
After listening to music played on the cello guitar violin ukulele and
keyboard ranging from Harry Potter to Bach toccata and fugue children then
had a go at playing the instruments.
Elicia from year 4 demonstrated how a keyboard can sound like a French
horn or a Banjo Daisy Goodes learnt to play a chord on a guitar and
Frankie Chapman had a go at playing the ukulele!
We discovered that between them Miss Haque and mrs Jones can  play 27
instruments!
They then played a duet together of a thousand years on their blue and
pink electric violins.
Music lessons are provided in school - if you would like to start learning
to play an instrument in September please return the make time for music
green leaflets to school.
